Hotel Accommodation
CGTT Voyages groupe Protravel - TQ3, has reserved a sufficient number of hotel rooms for congress participants in hotels of different price categories at a reduced rate. The prices are for one room per night, plus breakfast, and include taxes. The amount due for the whole stay should be paid with the booking. If on receipt of this form the hotel you have chosen is fully booked, Cgtt Voyages groupe Protravel - TQ3 will make a booking in one of the other hotels in the next price category. Should there be no single rooms left, a double room for single occupancy will be booked. In both cases Cgtt voyages groupe Protravel - TQ3 will ensure that the participant is informed in time.

All bookings should be made by February 22nd, 2004. Requests received after this date will be satisfied according to availability.
Cancellation Policy
Hotel payments (less Ђ 25 - for administrative expenses) will be refunded for cancellations received before March 6th, 2004. No refunds will be made after March 6th, 2004.

Kyiv is truly one of the great cities of Europe. Ukraine’s capital city displays both the tranquility of its ancient past and the frenzy of a newly independent nation (August 24th 1991). The cradle of the ancient Kyiv Rus Civilization, modern Kyiv has wide boulevards lined by majestic trees, beautiful parks with lovely flowering plants, and monumental buildings, reflecting the graceful elegance of different architectural styles and periods. Don’t forget to sample the many delicious Ukrainian restaurants with the folk music. Kyiv’s opera and ballet are truly world class, and her many interesting museums make for extra ordinary excursions. Today, there’s a lot to see, both old and new, in Kyiv.
Itinerary Classic Panoramic view of Kyiv
A good place to start a tour of Kyiv is the Kyyevo-Pecherska Lavra (Kyivan Cave Monastery) and the underground tunnels, is a ‘must see’ visit while in Kiev. Kyiv contains numerous churches, towers, ancient crypts, ecclesiastical objects and rich museums. Museum of Historical Treasures. Panoramic view of the left bang from the ‘motherland’ and the museum from the 2nd war. Then you will have a great view of all the churches of Kyiv with their gold cupolas from the river “Dnipro”. The Podil is very different from down town, with domination of the monumental architecture of Stalinist Era. Streets give you a sense of life in Old Kyiv, when before the revolution, the Podil was inhabited by merchants and craftsmen. Frolovsky Monastery, Pokrovsky monastery, Contractor’s house, funicular, Tchaikovsky conservatory.
On Khreshchatyk Street the Philharmonic building, it was the former meeting place of the pre-Revolutionary Merchants assembly, Maydan Nezalezhnosti (Independence square), Kyiv’s main square, it is the most popular meeting place of Kyivers and visitors. Then you will go to the museum of Ukrainian Arts, in front of the stadium Dynamo. The Parliament, Mariyinsky Palace, named in honour of Tsar Alexander III’s wife, the Empress Maria. This beautiful blue-and-cream-colored palace is similar in style to the imperial summer estates in St-Petersburg. The Architect - Bartolomeo Rastrelli. In front of the Palace there is a nice park with the monument of the General Vatutin, the one who gave the freedom of the city in 1943.
Khreshchatyk street, with is first indoor market at Bessarabska Ploshcha, called Bessarabski Rynok. It’s one of the most important markets and offers a very good selection of flowers, fruits, vegetables and meats. Kyiv National University, Kyiv Opera Taras Shevchenko 1901, Saint Volodymir cathedral the Russian Orthodox Church was built in 1882 in the Neo-Byzantine style.
Then the Golden gate that is the hilly old town centre. Here you will find the few surviving monuments of Kyiv’s ancient past, St Sophia’s Cathedral, St Michael and St Andrew’s Cathedral.
Kiev is a very nice place, and in summer time the weather is worm.

From European-style luxury dining, to salt-of-the-earth national fare, toa burger and fries ‘to go’ – it’s all in the capital!

Its five rooms, located on two floors, are designed to reflect the five districts of Old Kyiv. At the bar, you ride back to imperial times on horse-back stools. The menu offers excellent Ukrainian fare, presented with flare and care.
Taras Parc Chevtchenko Tel.: 235-21-32 from 9 a.m. to … The appeal of this indoor-outdoor restaurant is its delightful park setting near Shevchenko State University, in a large round wooden house with 270’ views. The cuisine is served by young people in national costume.
Tsarske Selo Vulitsa Sichnevoho Povstannia 42 Tel.: 290-30-66 from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. Translated as Tsar’s village, this Ukrainian restaurant recreates an idealized village green, completed with ox-cart, waterwheel, hang-made fences, a thatched roof and even blue domed sky. Even the live entertainment is mustachioed kozaks in traditional embroidered finery.
Khutorets Vulitsa Naberezhno-Kreshchatytska 22 Tel.: 463-70-19 from 12 a.m. to 12 p.m. Welcome to the Carpathians on the Dnipro. This floating village-style restaurant will charm you with its antique furnishings, white-washed pich – the traditional village stove. Live entertainment of Kozaks in traditional clothes.
Schekavytsia Vulitsa Kostiantynivska 46/52 417.14.72 non stop Named after the second brother who founded Kyiv, Schekavytsia is located with pleasure suprises. Ukrainian cuisine in a 18-19th century dйcor.
Dining on the left bank
The left bank while not the hub of activity in Kyiv – after all, it was only attached to the capital recently and built as a bedroom community.
Dykan’ka Vulitsa Malyshka 4a Tel.: 558-96-53 from 12 a.m. to 1 a.m. This unusual, fairytale-like restaurant in a private residence with a woodsy courtyard is named after Ukrainian-born Nikolai Gogol’s An Evening on a Farm near Dykan’ka.
